Liverpool Pep Lijnders coach confirms he will take on the job of managing Salzburg next season.

  • Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has agreed to take on the role of full-time manager of Red Bull Salzburg next season.
  • Lijnders has been Jurgen Klopp’s right-hand man for the past six years and has announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season as well.
  • Lijnders only had experience as a full-time manager for just four months when he took charge of NEC Nijmegen in 2018.

Pep Lijnders, Liverpool assistant manager has a new job. After agreeing in advance to step up and act as a full-time coach for Red Bull Salzburg next season.

“I am very proud to become the new head ยูฟ่าเบท coach of Salzburg. It is a real honor for me,” said Lijnders.

“I’ve worked at PSV, Porto and Liverpool, and now I’m at another club with a really good structure and a focus on developing young players.”

Lijnders has been Jurgen Klopp’s right-hand man for the past six years and has previously announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season as well.

He will take charge of Austrian giants Salzburg, replacing Gerhard Struber, who was sacked from his position last month.

Lijnders has only had four months’ experience as a full-time manager, managing Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in 2018.

In addition to this, Vitor Matos. Who has Liverpool coach for 4 and a half years, will leave Liverpool to move to Salzburg to take on the role of assistant coach to Lijnders.
