Owen predicts ‘really poor’ Sterling will be dropped.

Former England striker Michael Owen has sympathised with Arsenal forward Raheem Sterling after the Gunners underperformed in Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League win at Leicester City.

Sterling started the game at the King Power Stadium but failed to make an impact and was eventually substituted in the 69th minute, with his replacement Miguel Moreno scoring twice, with Owen feeling sorry for his compatriot who has not had many chances in recent times, which has led to his playing style being disrupted.

“The only thing I can say to help him is when เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย you don’t play regularly it affects you, it affects your rhythm,” Owen told Premier League Productions when asked about Sterling.

“I remember towards the end of my career when I hadn’t play much and suddenly I was ask to start. There were so many injuries that you felt there was a lack of continuity. It was a bit rough at times. You could see he almost tripped a few times, was in offside positions. Even at 50, he should know how to make runs and how to break through defenders.”

“I agree, it’s sad to see his poor performances, but one thing I can say is maybe because his condition is not good, now he will have a chance, maybe as a substitute because Merino will start in the next game. It’s about making an impact on the game.”

“He has to take this opportunity because at his age there are not many opportunities left. New players coming in, coming back from injuries, buying new players. This is his opportunity now. With so many players injured, he has to take it. You only have six or 10 games left to do that.”
